Barry Cohen is a member of our Advisory Board. A
senior advisor at Apollo Global Management, he also
serves as the president of Elysium Management LLC.
Prior to joining Apollo, he headed Bear Stearns’
Risk Arbitrage Department for 15 years, as well as
working there in Asset Management.
Barry received degrees from Harvard College (summa
cum laude), Harvard Law School and Harvard Business
School, and attended The Juilliard School Evening
Division for over ten years.
In addition to serving on the boards of directors
of The Melanoma Research Alliance, Mouth Sinai
Children’s Center Foundation and The Michael J. Fox
Foundation or Parkinson’s Research, Barry has,
under various pseudonyms, composed music for over
300 films, podcasts and promotional videos.
