
Rajath Shourie
Former Global Co-Portfolio Manager, Distressed Opportunities Funds at Oaktree Capital Management
Rajath Shourie is a member of our advisory board. Previously, he was Global Co-Portfolio Manager of the flagship distressed opportunities funds at Oaktree Capital Management. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, he was active in fundraising and firm management, and served on multiple private and public company boards.
Mr. Shourie invested across distressed debt, private credit and private equity. He developed expertise in taking companies public, running sell-side M&A processes, executing capital markets transactions, and serving on creditors’ committees.
Prior to joining Oaktree he worked in the Principal Investment area at Goldman Sachs, and was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Mr. Shourie earned a BA in economics from Harvard College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
He then went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He is a competitive bridge player, and won the gold medal in the world transnational championship in Buenos Aires in 2024.
