
Nathan Romano
As Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Collaborative Capital Advisors, Nathan brings his proven leadership, business-building acumen, deep experience, and results-oriented commitment to each client relationship.
Previously, Nathan was president of Atalaya Capital Management, a $10B+ alternative asset management firm recently sold to Blue Owl Capital (NYSE: OWL), where he led strategy, capital formation, product development, and capital markets.

Prior to Atalaya, Nathan was president and chief operating officer at York Capital Management, a $25B+ alternative investment firm. Before moving to asset management, he held senior leadership roles at Goldman Sachs & Co., Credit Suisse, and Bear Stearns, where he was one of the first senior bankers focused on delivering firmwide advice to the C-suite of the bank’s largest alternative asset management clients. His role as a senior relationship manager was an early embodiment of the innovative banking model that changed Wall Street’s client coverage strategy, leading to significant revenue and profitability gains.
Recipient of an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, he majored in finance and entrepreneurship at the University of Southern California while also walking onto the varsity tennis team. Nathan acts as a senior advisor to Squire Patton Boggs, one of the leading global law firms focused on policy and government affairs. Nathan is very active in the mental health community; among other related initiatives, he joined the board of NAMI-NYC in 2006 and is now its president emeritus. Nathan also serves as non-executive chairman of Evio, a mental health and wellness-focused venture firm.

Additionally, Nathan serves on the boards of the University of Southern California's men’s tennis team, The Goodness Web, the investment management division of UJA, and the Compassionate Leadership in Finance program at the Garrison Institute. He is an advisor at Rings, an AI-first “xrm” for relationship-first industries. He also served on the board of the Managed Funds Association from 2018 to 2021 and The Museum of the City of New York from 2015 to 2025. Nathan resides in Westchester with his wife, three kids, and two dogs.
